  • You’re well-versed in qualitative and quantitative research, with a desire to develop new, effective methods tailored to a start-up environment

  • You’re comfortable performing a balance of both research and UX architecture responsibilities
  • Apply various research methods (e.g. interviews, surveys, ethnography & usability evaluations) to inform both product and service design
  • Plan and execute research recruitment strategies, targeting segments of our worldwide user base
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and summarize key research findings in a compelling manner, providing clear and actionable recommendations to a cross-disciplinary audience of stakeholders
  • Assemble and present concise summaries of key research insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Create persona, workflows, journey maps and other artifacts that describe our users evolving characteristics and behaviours; promoting empathy and informing ongoing product iteration
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan metrics for tracking new products or experiences
  • Collaborate with the UX team to develop data-informed product and service strategies
  • Ability to switch hats and take on business analyst tasks such as market analysis, business process, and feature definition
  • Introduce new processes, concepts, and tools that drive user-centric design thinking across the organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science or other related fields or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of work experience
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups
  • Fluent in data analysis, research methodologies, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Online portfolio or work samples demonstrating your ability to gather and translate research insights into highly visual, succinct summaries
  • Examples of where/how your research insights informed and benefitted design decisions
  • Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, contextual field visits, usability studies either live or remote
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
  • Experience with software development tool kits
